quantumleap quote"SS:

Betting on soccer is like any other sport, when there are high stakes involved formulas can't exploit the odds. If this were so, the books would be broke by now.

The best way to do well is to understand the sport. Sure, formulas can help you do better but there is no substitute for experience."

There are arbitrages every day in both soccer and tennis. There are also sites out there that tell you where to bet and the % of profit to be made.

EX. Bet Type Return
1 Sargis Sargsian - Nikolay Davydenko
Russia, ATP Kremlin Cup Moscow 2004

13/10/04 10:00 12 3.61 % Sargis Sargsian
2.15
William Hill

Nikolay Davydenko
2.00
Expekt

The profit is 3.61%

Raiders:

I've heard that there is arbitrage software out there that will get the prices on several books and tell you how to profit. Then I've also seen the web sites. The problem I have is that you have to have your money spread around to so many books to be able to take advantage of this.

Any links on the web sites?

TIA.

www.betbrain.com

then click on odds and sure bets. This will tell you the bets , books and profit to be made. Some of the books are bad so you can't trust them all. If you go to www.sportsbookreview.com and only use C books or higher you should be OK.

You are correct that it does take a lot of books. If you track this for a while you'll find that lots of arbs are at the same books so you can cut down the amount of books.

I have software that tells me the guaranteed profit and what to bet on each side, I can also make sided bets so that I'll win more if one side comes in but break even if the other side comes in.

I'll try and hunt something down later on the web that does the same thing.
